Undeleting Facebook again

2 billion Facebook connections. Image from Mark Zuckerberg’s Facebook page

I love how the Spirit of God moves in me and causes me to walk in His ways. A few days ago I deactivated my Facebook account again. Today after seeing God‘s handiwork in the world through the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit in the reunification of the Korea.

If you’re just about to stop reading this post because I mentioned that invisible personality the living God, who has had His hand in the evolution of mankind since the beginning of time, then thats your choice.

But consider this: Pontius Pilot thought he had the power to set Jesus Christ free or to crucify him. To which Jesus answered, “You would have no authority over Me if it were not given to you from above.”

Anyway to the reason for my post. A few hours ago I enjoyed a walk around the block with our dog Pippa. That walk normally takes me 10 minutes. Today it took nearly an hour because I stopped to talk to the neighbors and enjoy the spring and bursting blooms of many flowers 🌸 and trees 🌳.

It was on my walk this thought came to pass.

My neighbor across my back fence is Bill. We started talking since 2015 to one another. Since I connect to Bill on Facebook occasionally he sends me messages. Facebook connects us really easily.

As I was talking to him telling him that I closed my Facebook account again I could see my actions were foolish.

Once again I’m reminded by the indwelling Spirit that I am not my own, I am a branch or a cup through which the living water flows. Gal 2:20 says that I died to myself and now I live by faith in the Son of God.

Also my fear of data loss demonstrated that I’m not perfected in love and didn’t see God in all things.

I need not cut off the hand that exists to feeds others through my voice, encouragement and stories and be encouraged by others through Facebook.

We are not the judge in this world even though many take on this responsibility without authority. God alone judges.

In 2016 I remember the Lord speaking so clearly to me many times about Facebook. The suggestion from the spirit was not to remove the application from my phone or close my account because this is one tool in God’s toolbox and His vehicle to reconnect the nations.

God forgive me. Thank you xox
