C.S. Lewis’ Shadowlands, produced by LA Theatre Works is has been a annual meditation for over ten years.
I listen to it least five times each year to remind me that perfect love comes in many forms.
Including forms we do not always enjoy like suffering and pain.
I hope you enjoy hearing this amazing work from C.S. Lewis.
C.S. Lewis was British writer and lay theologian. Like another British brother of mine, Norman Grubb.
Lewis also wrote fantasy childrens literature, The Lion the witch and the wardrobe and Narnia.
C.S. Lewis and his peer J.R. Tolkein inspired and continue to inspire generations to look beyond their present circumstances and trials to hope and live and dream of possibilities to each be our best selves.
I received the book above, as a gift when first became a Christian at Homer’s Coffee House in Overland Park Kansas in 2001.
Funny enough I’m writing this post from Osaka Japan where I noticed a CBMC flyer in a church window last week in Amagasaki.
Back then I had absolutely no clue of the journey faith in Jesus and in His mysterious ways would take me on.
Pilgrim’s progress by John Bunyan helps us see more clearly what we go through in part.
It’s been a crazy ride of ups and downs and lots of seeming useless rabbit trails.
But the wink of faith sees through to God having His perfect way in us, to get the results He wants through us, as us.
For we are His workmanship not our own.
God is always producing His amazing work through his multitude of created forms each declaring his amazing love for all people.
Even when that living expression sometimes comes to us in negative forms.
I hope you enjoy hearing Shadowlamds

P.S. I was inspired to write this post today as I read Darcie Cameron’s post – Jellyfish, Fantasies & Forgiveness
